Digital Inclusion Let IT Play x Closing Ceremony of International IT Festival 2015
Invited by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and Commercial Radio, CAL was honored to have the privilege join the on-stage performance for the Digital Inclusion Let IT Play x Closing Ceremony of IT Festival 2015 on April 24th, 2015 (Fri).
A total of five NAO robots were sent on stage in the Concert “Digital Inclusion Let IT Play” during IT Festival. David Wong, a student from Electronic Engineering, is the developer of RobotDroid. He made a breakthrough for the app as he managed to teach the robot the main dancing steps of a Cantonese pop song which is performed by Hong Kong girl idol group ‘Super Girls’. Then, the group of robots were further trained to synchronise all the motions for a perfect dancing performance with ‘Super Girls’.
Besides, Kenny Or, a student from Creative Media, who is also the developer of the wearable device ‘One Man Band’, was sent on stage to perform a duet with the singer Phil Lam (林奕匡) in the concert.
