Since 2014 December, CityU Apps Lab started the ‘Hour of Code’ HK campaign, offering coding workshops for the public to kick off their first hour of coding. The ‘Hour of Code’ was first started by Code.org in US since 2013. Now, over 100 millions students worldwide have learned an ‘Hour of Code’. In Hong Kong, CityU Apps Lab is one of the leading organizations to hold free workshops for young students, adults and even elders to learn coding.

CityU Apps Lab and Hong Kong Education Bureau also jointly present Hour of Code for teachers. This workshop aims to introduce coding and how to use coding to develop students’ problem solving skills.
